Do you have a table, sofa, chair or other bulky item that you no longer need? Don’t throw it away, give it away! Someone else living locally might be able to give it a new home.

Did you know that more than half of the largest items, such as furniture, taken to our Household Waste Recycling Centres for disposal could actually be reused?

We are asking our residents to ‘choose to reuse’ where possible. Reuse is good for the environment, saves money and resources and can really help people out.

One easy-to-use option is Freegle. Freegle is the UK’s biggest and friendliest, online reuse network. Anyone can join their local Freegle community online or via the Freegle app. It’s free to join, free to use, and everything on it is free. You don’t even have to leave the house. Why not give it a go? Go to www.ilovefreegle.org to find your local Freegle community.
